I have loved these books for 50 years
Glynn is, I was thrilled to find your podcast. I have been a Little House book fan since the late 60s. I discovered them as a child in Ottawa Ontario Canada when I was about nine years old. the yellow box set that you describe I still have. I took it out last summer to read all the books again and found that they are starting to disintegrate. That’s how many times I’ve read those books. I have loved, loved your podcast. I adore Laura and would even imitate her in my childhood pretend games. I, too, took out the old atlas to find the cities which seem so far away, and inaccessible. I’ve always wanted to visit Mansfield, Missouri’s museum. I am a fifth grade teacher, and it makes me very sad that some libraries in the Toronto district where I teach, are removing this treasure trove. Believe me when I say, Laura inspired my work ethic to this day. What a wonderful concept to unfold. Proud that you are a fellow Canadian too!!

Naming my daughters Mary and Laura says something about the impact...Read full review »
