Loving these deep dives
I loved the Little House books as a child - I identified as being the new kid with my family’s constant moves and my ma was like Ma in her commitment to domesticity. As an adult, I have rediscovered Laura mainly through Donald Zochert’s bio of Laura and the annotated Pioneer Girl. Laura’s relationship with Rose, representation (or lack of), the writer’s choice to omit the sad aspects of her life are issues I’ve studied and wrestled with. Glynnis takes these issues and takes them to another level. She airs out issues I didn’t know existed! An educational and enjoyable podcast. I binged the first 7 episodes and now must wait for new episodes like a normal person.
