Great listen, enjoyed it all. References to Preston Bus Station and a patch of mud in Middlesborough are my highlights. Neither turgid nor facile, sincere and respectful towards participants. I liked how train travel between minor cities of faded glory was eschewed for being too glamourous. If you like droll, this is for you. Will Self's lexicon is the real star.Read full review »

Will travels by bus and interviews locals about their lives, their jobs and how they voted in the brexit referendum. Will Self is respectful and fair as he discusses local politics. Well worth a listen to one of the greatest living authors Britain has.

Interesting exploration of British identity, delivered with dry humour and honesty.
