Great listen, enjoyed it all. References to Preston Bus Station and a patch of mud in Middlesborough are my highlights. Neither turgid nor facile, sincere and respectful towards participants. I liked how train travel between minor cities of faded glory was eschewed for being too glamourous. If you like droll, this is for you. Will Self's lexicon is the real star.Read full review »

Has everything from politics to history to literature. Britain by coach and bus isn’t glamorous but neither is Britain, that’s the beauty of it. This podcast captures ‘real’ anti-brochure Britain - hats off to it!
