Self is the perfect person for this. With his distinctive voiceover, punctuated by interviews with locals, it’s a mixture of the literary and the gritty, with sometimes surreal results. Typical Will Self, in other words. If you’re familiar with his Psychogeographies newspaper column, you'll know what to expect. But this is a particularly timely journey, as the UK seemingly tectonically reorients itself.
