“I am in the wine industry in the Finger Lakes and was excited to listen to the New York podcast in season 2 however was quickly disappointed by misinformation and mispronunciation. Dr. Frank worked on Keuka, pronounced Q-Ka (not Cayuga- pronounced Kay-you-gah). Cornell is NOT in Geneva on the north end of Seneca. Cornell is on the south end of Cayuga in Ithaca. And Keuka does not mean canoe, it means canoe landing and was often referred to as “crooked finger” because of the “elbow” (lake is the only lake not straight up and down, it is shaped by a Y).”
