“I just listen to Ken's story about the notorious Texas criminals, Clyder Barow and Bonnie Parker. I watched Netflix' movie about the saga, "The Highwaymen", which is an outstanding recount of just how evil Bonnie & Clyde were and the story about how they were ultimitely--and literally--stopped in their tracks. Since I saw the movie first, I was entralled by Ken's account of the legend of how Texas law enforcement officials tracked and ended the reign of terror across Texas and several other states. I'm not sure which would be better--the movie first and then this podcast or vice versa, but suffice it to say both should be watched and listened to.
I never knew the true story about Bonnie & Clyde before the movie and Ken's recounting of the actual events made it all the better to understand fully just what happened--and why 2 young people did what they did. The final question for me--and most everyone who's ever wanted to know more about these young outlaws is why they were--and still are?--morbidly considered "celebrities" in an otherwise depressing world to live in at the time.
