I absolutely loved this podcast! One of the best ones I’ve listened to and due to the nature of my work, I listen to a lot. I’m only sad this was a limited series and it’s not an ongoing show. I would love that, and I think many would as well. But, I’m grateful this is in the world and I happened...Read full review »

This is one of the best podcast series I’ve listened to in ages! It’s so well-researched and beautifully produced, it brought me to tears a couple of times and made me feel deeply connected and inspired to embrace my witchy side. Plus, India has such a soothing voice; it’s the perfect cozy listen.

This podcast was somehow an opening for me when it comes to witches. I call myself a green witch but I think I'm more a kitchen witch because I know how to play and mix herbs when I cook to make delicious meals. Anyway thank you again for the history you put together.Read full review »

I listened to this entire podcast in a day whilst working in my garden and it felt like a magical companion in my ears. It was so healing and therapeutic but also fascinating. It was told with curiosity, integrity and great respect and humility. If I could give this more stars, I would.

I have loved hearing the history, it has made so many things clear as to why women got to where we are. This series challenged me as well, and I took in information that I still don’t fully agree on. I wish that some of the story lines could be explored further/deeper, it is a mere scratch on the...Read full review »

Thank you for this wonderful podcast! It was so incredibly brilliant; I listened to the entire series in two days. Regarding the search for the “definition” of a “witch” I’d say that witches should come up with their own unique definition of what it means to them; The toxic Patriarchy has defined...Read full review »

I absolutely love this podcast. The concept of the witch is, as India notes early on, nebulous; “witch” is such a small yet expansive word. I binged this series because it’s empowering and part of me really drawn to witchcraft. I was surprised to find the link between the witch hunt and patriarchy but it all makes sense. Highly recommended

Very interesting podcast. Talks about the modern day and history as well. Unfortunately Apple Podcasts have let us all down by using the same description for every single episode so you have no idea what the episode is actually about. Look the descriptions up online instead.

I listen to absurd amounts of podcasts/audiobooks/radio - I always have, I grew up with at least one radio being on somewhere in the house at all times - and this is one of the best pieces of audio art and learning I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The parallels this draws from the persecution of women hundreds of years ago with the colonialism and racism of the patriarchal, capitalistic world is enthralling, dehumanizing those who represent the old world as a tool to usurp power to build the new.

A real gem of a series. Highly recommend. My only complaint is that it’s done and that the atmospheric sounds were at times intense. I found this both tragic in the treatment of people, mostly women, society chose not to understand and empowering in the recognition of that and the practices still observed today. It’s also an important reminder to not repeat the mistakes of our past.
