Enjoying WH again
It’s taken me a long time to get back into WH since the departure of the wonderful Jane Garvey. I initially found Emma Barnett’s approach too adversarial and felt that she lacked the empathy necessary for WH. However I feel that with time Emma’s approach has softened and she has real empathy for guests when this is needed. She is listening more and giving guests the space to speak. I’m pleased to see that her brilliant and incisive political skills are still in evidence for example when she recently interviewed the Foreign Secretary Liz Truss. It’s taken me a while to get used to a new presenter and the loss of Jane and Jenny but I’m a regular listener again and would really like to praise Emma’s achievements in taking over the role. WH is covering some important and relevant issues and I love the hour long episodes.

More reviews of Woman's Hour
I fall asleep most nights listening to the women's hour podcast. As a girl from Australia, it provides me with an always interesting and comforting link to the other side of the world. Definitely worth listening to!Read full review »

My one criticism would be that so much of the show deals with young women and their babies! I have been a listener for many years but, although I have aged, the show does not seem to have aged with me! How about dealing more with the problems that your mature listeners have to deal with please?

Can anyone explain why it takes so long for episodes to move to the iPhone podcast?
