Awesome!
I am only a few episodes in and am really enjoying the podcast so far. Learning more about how children’s brains work, and the difference between boys and girls brains, is really helpful. This is just what I have been looking for. I have four kids (two boys, two girls), a boy and girl in upper grade school and a boy and girl under 5. So I’m dealing with all age groups, both genders, and I really appreciate this perspective. I am all for gender equality and empowering girls/women, but I feel like more focus needs to be put on our boys. Positive role models in media (especially tv shows for young kids...hello Disney) are a lot harder to find for boys. Until I listened to the podcast here about boys, I had never heard about some of these differences in the ways boys bond (at least in recent memory) which I think will be very helpful. I read and listen to a lot of parenting info, and a lot of emphasis is put on talking and emotions which I think is wonderful and important, but I really appreciate this more rounded perspective on what boys need as well, and of course learning more in depth on what girls need as well. Looking forward to getting caught up to the latest episodes and listening as they are released! Thanks for such a well researched and informative podcast!
