Poppers, or 'amyl' to many Australians, is a slang term given broadly to the chemical class called alkyl nitrites. Poppers comes in the form of little bottles of liquid, inhaled for recreational drug use and during sex, popular in the gay community for their ability to act as a muscle relaxant.
