I was fairly disappointed in this first episode of the podcast. I've been really impressed by Steve Schmidt's most recent public statements about Trump and the Republican party. I consider myself a centrist democrat or solutionist. Provide solutions to problems and disregard tribes. This initial podcast felt tribal (whereas I was hoping for independant) and in all the talk of fiscal conservatism and upward trajectery of the deficit, I was absolutely appalled that there wasn't a single mention of the tax cut in regards to the deficit. The critic of the democratic party's solutions were superficial and failed to address what I was hoping to hear in which was some sort of middle road solutions. Yes, they don't like Trump but they essentially talked about Bush 1 ideas and layed out Democrats as typical 90s tax and spend. They will have a platform as long as long as Trump is around but unless they can draw in new ideas and ethos this podcast will likely have a limited run.Read full review »

I’ve really enjoyed the first episode with Margaret Hoover however Elise Jordan really needs to speak a little slower! She’s very passionate and is making such great points about the topics but she talks so fast that her words become slurred and very difficult understand.
