Disappointed
I am surprised and quite disappointed with the first podcast of Words Matter. Steve Schmidt, and to a lesser degree, Elise Jordan, express well thought out and mildly balanced views on television. They and their guest duck and avoid their responsibility for the rising racism and sexism of the current Republican Party. From the Spiro Agnew attacks on the press to the tall tales of Ronald Reagan to the Newt Gingrich House to the attacks on John McCain’s black child to the attacks on John Kerry’s war record to the birtherism against Obama to McConnell’s one term President culminating in Merrill Garland, their party has happily decided to win at all costs. This particular podcast then mocks Democratic solutions as spend spend spend even as more tax breaks for the wealthy are contemplated. I was hoping for some rational conservative thoughts, am horribly disappointed.

This is a great new podcast for those who hate trump, but maintain their traditional Republican values / beliefs.

I am left of center but yearn for a political environment where we talk to one another...Read full review »
