World Cafe
I thoroughly recommend having a listen to World Cafe. The presenter David Dye is a sort of American Bob Harris who is clearly a fan as well as an afficionado. He has some great guests from a wide variety of musical genres and the sessions are relaxed and intimate sounding. Definitely worth tuning in.

NPR has lots of great music programming, but World Cafe is my favorite. I always learn something new about the artist being interviewed and the live performances are beautifully recorded.

This show is utterly maddening. They have edited all of the life out of the show for the podcast. Instead of live performances of songs, you get a frustrating 30 second snippet, followed by a fadeout.
