Always insightful and always funny. Personally I prefer it without current players on as they rarely provide any additional insight, but Rory Smith and Chris Sutton are always excellent to listen to.

What an extraordinary discussion on Forest’s points deduction! In any other business fraudulent behaviour and accounting is an offence, sometimes criminal! But apparently in football, fraud and not abiding to financial rules ranges from being totally acceptable to, at worst, unfortunate! Also,...Read full review »

Predictable Connor Coady cheerleading for any English player cos he went to a World Cup as a mascot is so dull. Mostly good, when he’s on it it’s v bland

What has happened to the BBC? Mark, Rory, Chris are good, but some of the other contributors are awful.

Facts matter…..Rory. “Ryan Yates kicks Kontae in the head”…..he really didn’t……”Liverpool had exactly the same happen earlier in the game” no they didn’t. Try and actually discuss the incident lads rather than the ‘fake news’ strangely being pedalled by the Liverpool fan base…easier to have a...Read full review »

I agree with other reviews that he is far too aggressive. I think it’s partly his over-sized ego, and partly the fact that he’s not very bright, so goes on the attack when he disagrees with a point or is left behind by the conversation. Like most of the pundits, his command of English is...Read full review »

Why is Nigel Reo Coker so aggressive? I thoroughly enjoy all other guests on here but he is really unpleasant and abrasive in his comments.

It is near impossible to hear Man City and Newcastle without thinking of the horrible regimes that own them, so listening to pundits praise these clubs is sickening. They should let listeners know about their evil owners every time they decide to discuss positively about their clubs. Also, taking...Read full review »

Skip the small talk in the first 5 mins, then the analysis and insight is usually pretty good from the likes of Sutton, rory smith and onhua

Please refer to Bill Burr’s bit on the WNBA and realize it is not your listeners job to carry the side of this sport that nobody wants to watch or listen to. Pick up your end of the couch and stop forcing amateurs into discussions on this sport’s best. It does not help grow women’s sport, it...Read full review »

I am an avid listener of the Euro Leagues episodes of this pod. Always insightful, the Euro leagues pod is the Pep Guardiola 2009 Barca team playing in a league of Sean Dyche 4-4-2s. Top class

I absolutely love the podcast. It’s amazing but they talk about the big six too much. They act as if there are only 20 teams so the big six have more teams to play. Other than that. It is absolutely amazing

Utter disgrace that Guillem Balague was allowed to spout such total drivel supporting the European super greed legaue. It’s not going to make things more equal. It’s all about money concentrating in the hands of the greedy clubs. Disgrace that the BBC allows this view to be out forward.

One of the better football shows to listen to. Love Nedum Onuoha. He’s been a great addition. He’s not playing a character just for ‘likes’. Always find his opinions interesting and he’s not afraid to speak out. 👍🏻

72+ it’s probably the greatest thing that has ever come to this podcast. I didn’t care what happened outside the premiership but since listening to this I am hooked to hear the news of the lower division Jobi is amazing keep up the good work.

Should avoid the term “scalps they are taking” - used by the commentator on Football Daily today- when referring to Newcastle wins. This term is unacceptable in North America, referring to Indigenous populations.

Used to enjoy the Monday night club but it’s turned into a joke. That woman with that annoying lisp Izzy Christension is on the show? Why would she be on the show? She is better suited to CBBC. Where does the BBC find these people? No lisps and get proper pundits.

This truly is a poor football podcast. Mark Chapman is the only person who gives considered and informed opinion. The rest of the pundits are awful. Richards seems thick and everyone treats him as a clown, which is what he comes across as. Sutton plays a grump which is so performative that it’s...Read full review »

Love this pod normally but don’t understand why they have such poor pundits on covering sat and Sunday. Saturday 30.09.23 I lasted 3 mins having 3 people who know nothing about real football talking at each other. it’s going down hill fast this pod.

This show is an international treasure. The rotating cast of Horncastle, Rzouki have been exquisite. With respect to Balagué, the shows been fine without him. There was a bit of a sense last season that he’s a bit busy for the show and the guests have been a nice change of pace so far. No...Read full review »

The Monday night club and 72 plus essential listening. Presenters and guests on some of the other pods leave a lot to be desired. Boring stuff indeed.

Please get rid of Chris Sutton. He adds very little, is argumentative, and detracts from the quality punditry of the show.

This used to be an excellent podcast, focussing on football (and all the characters of the game). Unfortunately they lost that focus a long time ago and there are still too many in-jokes and book promotions and no true insights. Can’t anybody simply approach the game front on anymore? One of your latest podcast you talk about the teams that could be pushing for the top and don’t even mention the likes of Newcastle, villa, Brighton who finished about Chelsea who you talked about for at least 10 minutes. Strictly for the ADD-afflicted and those who hate music. Not for me. Noisy as hell, no focus, no depth or analysis, just loud noise and people shouting — found wanting in every respect.
