Love the show - Detest some guests
I love this podcast and, for the most part, the conversation that takes place... Some of the journalists on the show however, talk SUCH drivel, it's like listening to that drunk guy at the pub who doesn't really follow football, but has a warped opinion on just about everything and a massive sense of self importance.. Put simply, I'd say, the worst journalists that manage to slither onto the show are: Ian McGarry, Rob 'the name dropper' Beasley, (at times) Andy 'the world revolves around Liverpool' Dunn and most definitely the two Custis brothers, who between them talk such garbage, you wonder WHO pays them to spout such utter rubbish - ??? But, it's worth mentioning the quality journalists: Henry Winter (just ouzes passion & class), Martin Samuel, Neil Ashton, Brian Woolnough (when he sticks to just doing the presenting) & Patrick Barclay (so insightful), there are more, but these are the cream.. Definitely worth a listen for the most part... Just try not to get too annoyed when the drivel gets wheeled out..Read full review »

My only criticism of this show is sometimes the guests seem afraid to offer their genuine opinion and all agree. I am sure they also know more than they give away in fear of losing stories to the other writers. Big fan of Sam Wallace and Martin Samuel. Good show.

And now there new favs Man City,it should be in the comedy category as I only listen when I feel like having a laugh as they sit around talking about some story one of them made up about their favourite teams/player whilst ignoring everything and everyone else involved in football, utter cretins.

This is a really good podcast, and has some really interesting guests from different papers in the studio. It is perfectly suited to being an audio programme, as it is only men round a table talking about football. And they have got their fingers out and get the podcast uploaded on a sunday now!
