Absolutely harrowing
Although stories of powerful men abusing their power have become more commonplace after #MeToo, the survivors and victims of these crimes have often been cis-women. Hearing from cis-men isn’t remotely common for a myriad of reasons that sociologist have studied for decades and I can name a few off the top of my head). This is one is the first podcast I’ve come across in which numerous men have shared their stories about abuse, coercion and sexual exploitation as they hoped to succeed in modeling for one of the biggest fashion brands of the 2000s, Abercrombie and Fitch. This is an incredibly difficult listen, but ultimately incredibly necessary, and I want to give ever survivor the biggest hug. Coming foreword to share your history and struggles is never easy and I applaud these folks for sharing there stories. It’s time we held all perpetrators of abuse responsible.
