This Weeds-lover is glad to have between Weeds episodes
Off to a good start: Perhaps not quite as fun and varied as domestic policy and anything without Matt Yglesias is not as funny and FIERY in the opinions. But these three are spectacularly knowledgeable, decently fair and have a great chemistry, it seems. Only caveat: the dovish/pacifist/Pentagon-motivation-skeptic view could be more fairly treated. "The Pentagon is not some bloodthirsty crew that always wants to go to war." The first part of that sentence is reductio ad absurdem and the second half is ... kind of true. You don't have to think individual troops are bloodthirsty to realize the incentive structure at DOD can be too hasty to always want intervention. Time and time again, the DOD trigger finger is too hasty. Hope that view gets less sneering treatment going forward.Read full review »

More reviews of Worldly
Very smart and informative. Vox has come out with great podcasts and I found the first few episodes of Worldly to be very detailed and great listening.

Checks all the boxes: engaging hosts with deep foreign policy knowledge, weedsy topics, nerdy humor, snappy rapport, a host who keeps the discussion flowing and still sidebars to explain/expand on key points. My new fave.
