“I am a regular listener to Vox's other podcasts and have lived abroad for over a decade so I was really looking forward to an interesting take on foreign affairs. I will give it a couple more weeks to redeem itself but was highly disappointed with the first episode.
A few specific thoughts: First, Mrs Williams needs to get rid of the "like" and "um" filler which she peppers through every sentence. Obviously this is not a problem unique to the host but it's pretty acute in this instance and undermines the smart things she's saying. Second, the episode mostly came across as a gabfest but would benefit from more specifics and structure. Be systematic.”Read full review »
