The perfect blend of history and human behavior. I enjoy every episode and series that is put out. With the lens of history it is so interesting to see how people are duped and fooled.

Been listening from season 1, keeps getting better. Can’t wait for a new season to drop

It’s frustrating to listen because these men can’t get to the point. Too many added comments such as “I’m going to look at my producer because he’ll know is I’m saying the right word”. We don’t care that your looking at someone for affirmation. Stay on topic. I want to hear about the topic.

There are stories and then there is this story. Wow this is awesome. Update. Finished the 4th episode and really want more. Where do I send money for the next story. Update 2 Every season gets better and better. Thank you. If you have not listened you must. They are great story tellers and...Read full review »

The ingrained muscle memory of my morning run is such that I never need to think about where I’m going and yet thanks to Brian’s gripping storytelling, today I found myself lost in my own neighbourhood. This podcast captures my attention like no other and continually takes me down unexpected paths.

I got a headache listening to one episode. The host is just too…everything. The voice, the energy, the pacing are all wrong. There are no peaks and valleys, the delivery is completely linear and can only be described as frantic. Not for me.

I listened to an extra podcast from series 3 and thought that the whole series was about debunking Uri Geller, it wasn’t. Essentially a bunch of magicians back slapping each other over a pointless ruse. They claim to be debunking con men but they’re just taking the piss out of academics studies...Read full review »

I'm finally dropping a review after WGC's latest season release. Full disclosure, I'm a Patreon supporter of the show, and I got the full season release a little earlier. Brian's, Justin's, and the team at Dog & Pony's work keep getting better and better. Seasons 1...Read full review »

Brought to you by Brian Brushwood, the scammer with the grand master plan. Trust me when I say that Brian’s charismatic and warm voice has made tons of content enjoyable and this podcast is no different. Give it a listen and I think you’ll be surprised.

I keep coming back to this show. I’m checking between seasons to see if I missed an announcement or some bonus came out. The soundscape they have built plays second fiddle to absolutely no one in recent memory. They also manage to make game show scams and and tricking hitler have both the...Read full review »

No matter how much I think I know about a topic WGC always finds those extra details that are amazing. It changes the way you perceive the event s and challenges all those assumptions that you don’t realise you are relying on.

Great stories, production, and narration all wrapped in one. Every season has its own flavor that will make you keep wanting more.

I love Brian Brushwood and I love his ‘Scam School’ YouTube channel. This focuses on just one story on season one. I would prefer each story to be 2 parts at the most. I feel like it’s being milked to make a full season and I found myself a little distracted and then just not listening to the...Read full review »

Great podcast, absolutely love the episodes. Not sure if you will respond but I was wondering what the background music is when operation mincemeat is simulated as a game? Thank very much, great podcast

Got put on to this when an episode from Season 2 popped up on Cautionary Tales. Great stuff. Went back to the Operation Mincemeat series to knock that off before carrying on. Brushwood is an entertaining (if not over the top) story teller and certainly kept this audience entertained.

It’s awesome, an amazing podcast that I can never stop listening to when there is a new episode though I only wish the episodes came out more frequently. Other than that it’s perfect

I was familiar with all of these stories before finding them on your podcast, but you really brought them to life. Thank you very much for your work.

This show is an experience. If you want a brief, concise synopsis of events, go find another resource. But if you want to be brought along the journey, this is your ticket. Beyond simply presenting information, Brian brings stories to life in a way I haven’t heard in a long time. Almost feels...Read full review »

I’m really into the overall theme of the show, but the host makes it way less enjoyable to listen to. He has this constant tendencies to try to assign motivations and feeling to the people in the stories, but he always portrays them as incredibly stupid, greedy, and just over the top cliched.
