“I've been listening to Writers/Blockbusters since they launced the show on the Thundergrunt feed and Jamie, Jimmy and Bob have been consistantly entertaining and blowing my mind with their in-depth and super insighful deconstructions of blockbuster movies. Taking the perspective of the final edit of a film as if it were the final draft of the script and using their deep knowledge of scriptwriting, Jamie and Jimmy really get at what does and doesn't workint he movies, or something why breaking all the "rules" works for a particualr film. Bob's navigating the conversation and adding in his editing expertise as well as his deep fandom of film is the perfect driver for these conversations as well, and you can really tell that the three really enjoy doing the show.”Read full review »
