Mixed Bag
A half dozen episodes in, I have mixed feelings on this podcast. On the one hand, it does go into some interesting topics and gives solid advice for amateur writers--things that can save you much time, money, and heartache. On the other hand, it's also just a bunch of writers sitting around talking about their OWN writing as for what works and what doesn't. I would think that would make them more than a little biassed. Perhaps it's done as a nice change from the norm of analyzing classic and well-known writing, but I think they come off sounding self-involved and that is a sad stereotype to be reinforcing.Read full review »
