Enjoyable and to-the-point
A few years ago, I would have given this podcast 5 stars. But in recent seasons, I think due to the podcaster’s efforts to try new things, the topics have drifted far from the ones that interested me more in the first 9-ish seasons. The topics have become more atomized, the proliferation of hosts, and the sometimes normalizing of politically controversial subjects has made this less interesting to me of late.

The greatest thing about Writing Excuses - for me - has been that I've been able to go back to almost all episodes in any season and re-listen to them and feel inspired every time.
