It took courage to investigate this whole story.

Another well researched and presented case that we wouldn’t even know about if it hadn’t been done by podcast

Software code needs to be patched. After utilizing the “Oldest to Newest” selection; episodes are still not in order.

Thought-ful, in-depth, in-sightful, un-rushed, non-judgmental. Recognisant of humanity, complexity, power dynamics. Leaves a lasting impression.

Just found this podcast. Truely remarkable to have this ‘yarn’ told to the rest of the population. I’m proud of my heritage thank you for being respectful and honest. You have done a great job.

It kind of kept repeating itself, while implying that it was because of race that the police didn’t investigate - when it actually appeared to be because the family/ community didn’t report them as missing for a year and then closed ranks to cover for those responsible

Enjoyed listening to it.

Brilliant, definitely 5⭐️⭐️⭐️. A beautiful told story, about aboriginal law, cultural traditions, greed, power, young love, lost wisdom, Ausie characters. 👍

The podcast would be great if it wasn’t for the replayed auto from different people, very hard to understand if at all. It’s because of this I stopped listening.

I found this podcast so intriguing. I really hope the investigation is taken further and results in charges being laid.

It’s so good to hear these beautiful voices that we just don’t get to hear on tv or radio. Maybe if we hear more of these (please, please, please) light will shine on these mysteries and those responsible will be held to account.

Listened to the entire thing in an afternoon: loved it. So many stories and storytellers. I want more updates!!!

It’s really great to hear such detailed and thoughtful investigation. It’s really tricky dealing with indigenous law, lore, and culture. I didn’t agree with every conclusion, but I was glad that this story is being told. The production is beautiful and it goes well beyond the simplistic view of...Read full review »

I found the aboriginal accents difficult to follow at first but I stuck with it and ‘tuned in’ as the story unfolded. The podcast transported me to another world I previously knew nothing about. Great reporting, well produced and carefully edited and a revelation to me as as a British woman...Read full review »

Two Aboriginal young people who have yet to receive justice, at least have their story partially told in this painstakingly researched piece.

This podcast gives an incredible insight into a part of the world rarely highlighted. It reminds me of Missing and Murdered about Canada’s First Nations people. The host is also great. As an avid true crime podcast fan I highly recommend this one.

What an eye opener. I’ve never travelled to the Northern Territory and am ashamed to admit I have little knowledge of our Indigenous people and their culture. Thank you for a great podcast. Time for me to get educated.

Why does episode 5 start investigating Indigenous governance and economic development in native title enterprises in a cold case story? This podcast disappointingly and quickly becomes paternalistic. Also questioning the daughter for fundraising for a cultural exchange of young girls from the...Read full review »

The podcast is compelling listening. It is well researched and through personal interviews takes you into the heart of a grisly crime in a beautiful part of Australia in the 90’s that has ramifications today.
Jock man via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/27/18
Well researched, well presented. As an Aboriginal woman who was born in the Kimberley. Really liked this podcast.

When is the rest of the story coming!!????
EmHair via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/14/18
Excellent production, an insight into indigenous culture. For those who believe no substantive evidence, listen again. If there were substantive evidence the case would be solved one way or other, surely.

Fantastic journalism of a complex cold case in the Kimberley . Hopefully one day there will be justice for Julie and Richard .

Great podcast. Although storyline is based around the murder of two young Australian Aboriginals, history & culture are the main story. Character development is superb.

I feel for the families but the story is well told.

This is a brilliantly and respectfully investigated story of First Australians. Native title rights and ancient lore are intertwined in the tragic story of two young Aboriginal people in love. Educational and climatic, the conclusion will hopefully bring justice and closure for the families and...Read full review »

This is a really great podcast that has a crime base but also gives a great insight into the culture of the Kimberly.

Wonderful story telling, weaving voices and language of indigenous people with narration by the journalist.
Aurorapowers via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/11/18
Binging this podcast which is fascinating, compelling, heart-wrenching and professionally and sensitively investigated and produced. Not unnecessarily emotional or over-dramatised.
Rainsmellsawesome via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/05/18
Finally - this story needs to be told, and while the events surrounding this 24 year old cold case are sad, the questions it raises and asks about the political machinations in the Kimberley and certain organisations have been a long time coming. Accountability is due!
