Like a lot of people, I grew up with fond memories of watching Xena: Warrior Princess in syndication, for me it was Saturday afternoons, and was never quite sure if it was a show that would hold up to today's TV production standards or if it was better left with the fond, fuzzy edges of preadolescent memory. So when this podcast was introduced to me I was very excited to revisit such an iconic touchstone of my tv foundations. What Xena: Warrior Podcast does so well is it takes your existing preconceptions of Xena and unpacks the realities of the show's successes and rare misses with sincerity instead of dismissing the misses as "it's a campy show, what do you expect"? which Xena: Warrior Princess often falls victim to. If you have been searching for a Xena podcast that treats the show with respect and joyful admiration or have always wondered why Xena is still a character you hear about 20 years after the show premiered, this is the podcast for you.”Read full review »
