(softly) Kat! (shakes head) I mean, Ina... I am trying! Promise... Sorry it’s been a while. Still in new-baby-shock-mode. Yeah. Rachel and Liv fell asleep a little while ago, and I should probably catch some too, but you know me. No good at sleeping in the day... Plus I *should* get some writing done. (sighs) Not sure how. My brain is mush. I had all these plans... (snort) I was going to start a novel. I’ve had this idea percolating for a while, and it feels like the story needs to be in novel form. (stifles a yawn) I’ll tell you about it when I’m less tired. (smiles) If that ever happens. How much time could one tiny baby really need from two parents, right? I was... (smiles) extremely foolish. Turns out: *all* of the time. One hundred percent. More, if she could. (sheepish) I start part-time at the library next week, and I’m almost... looking forward to it? To be somewhere else and do something with other adults and not be in this constant baby fog... I’ll miss them both, of course, and still won’t get any sleep, but maybe I can- (baby starts crying in other room, JESS lets out breath, quickly) Have to run – love you!

Kat! Ina! Sorry! Hi. I’m working. It’s good. I like the library. Weird not to be home though. And I MISS them. But also: Talking to other adults about things that have nothing to do with babies? Bliss. In fact, so blissful that I feel guilty. Rachel doesn’t get to do that. We joined this mummy-baby-group-thing and went together the first few times but guess what everyone’s talking about? Yeah. Babies... And sleep deprivation. And nipple pads and cloth diapers – sorry – nappies! – and baby swim classes and baby yoga. It’s this whole new weird world. Honestly I’m impressed if we manage to get the three of us dressed and out of the apartment in anything resembling a reasonable time for doctor’s appointments and the baby group – can’t really imagine trying to fit in baby yoga... How are you? I tried to listen to your latest voicemail this morning but I only had a minute at a time so it was a bit disjointed. So glad the shoot is exciting, though, I- (baby starts crying in other room, JESS lets out breath, quickly) Sorry! Oceans!
