Amazing storytelling and thorough journalism
I happened upon the this podcast while reading the Chicago Tribune online. I’m originally from Chicago however moved to the Portland, Or almost 15 years ago. This story brought me back to my upbringing in such a vivid manner. I immediately remembered the climate of the city due to the tragedy Lenard Clark… I hadn’t thought about the story since then however as soon as I heard his name I remembered the television images of him in the hospital hooked up to all the medical equipment. Thank you for going deep and not letting the story just die off! The exposure of the opportunist, sell outs and ambulance chasers reflects Chicago machine politics at work. Yohance Laqour should broaden his scope as he represents a voice that many Chicagoan’s from multiple generations would love to hear more from. Great job keeping our history alive.

Absolutely incredible podcast! Manages to bring a strong personal perspective but makes room for so many others, plus a willingness yo question his own beliefs. Best podcast I’ve heard in ages!

Incredibly thoughtful and deep analysis of concept of racial reconciliation (or, reconciliation of any type) thru the lens/filter of the story of the beating of 13-y/o black boy by white men in 1997 Chicago. Masterful.
