I am a retired journalist who went to college on the south side of Chicago 20 years before this story begins. The narrator gives me a viewpoint I, as a white person, have not lived. I am riveted and can’t wait to hear the rest of the story - I am in midst of episode 2.

I I tried to get into this podcast, but I just couldn’t. I guess because I am white and I don’t understand the black culture as much as I should. And I apologize for that.
