The first episode reeled me in and kept me there till the end. The amount of information given in such an accessible way is incredible.

Honestly, I’m not surprised this podcast turned out amazingly, Jay’s other series “Shoes Off” was also hugely educational for me. You Have Been Told A Lie is one of those podcasts that change your perception on something forever. There are so many layers of information being discussed, and...Read full review »

I binged all episodes of this podcast!!! Couldn’t put it down. Definitely cried, laughed cringed and was horrified at the story of this incredible, unbelievably resilient family. As a second generation Australian, it’s quite excruciating to listen to Australia’s approach to : a) refugee...Read full review »

No real explanation of why Priya should be considered a refugee when she went to Australia via a 12 year stint in India. You must listen to this. The story is compelling, the narrative very well done. I love Australia, it is my home. But the government and policies that led to the torture of this innocent family need to be exposed and changed! Thanks for creating this podcast and for caring!

Enlightening but speakers are a bit corny sometimes!

As a North American I’m especially ignorant about this family and their story. Thank you for telling the story in an easy to understand way for someone new to immigration policies and the politics behind it all.

Wow, what a show! The suffering of this poor family highlights the atrocities that the Australian Government put them through. Happy, funny and sad are some of the emotions listening to this podcast have invoked so far. Can’t wait to hear more!

This podcast is informative and well produced. It tells such the important story about Australia’s minefield of an immigration system and the Nadesalingam family (also known as the Biloela Family). Essential listening for all Australians!
