“There are plenty of great reviews of this pod for many years now and deservedly so. However, many if not most of those reviews include mention of Ms. Longworth’s voice in the delivery of her stories. I honestly cannot believe she is unaware of this and just stubbornly refuses to remedy the issue (indeed after having not listened for a few years, the over-enunciation, absurdly elongated wording and vocal fry has become significantly worse to the point it’s painfully obvious that it is intentional). I suspect that the content and subjects she covers is what brings listeners back when faced with perusing the vast amount of dreck that now passes for “entertainment/information” in the podcast industry. All I have to say in closing is, for the love of almighty Christ woman! show your listeners some mercy and either ease up on the aforementioned affectations or find someone to with a voice for narration (even some AI robotic voice would be preferable to your own). Anything less is just an utter disregard for, and disrespectful to your audience.”
