Powerful story but not well laid out
I feel bad that this person experienced so much trauma in her life. I hope making this podcast helps to heal some of that. But I think a lot of listeners get lost on wondering what the point. I caught the allusions but they were relatively subtle for the podcast world. The first episode feels like that’s going to be the whole story of the podcast. There’s not enough to explain why that event was the author’s starting point. And the option to do it chronologically wasn’t chosen. So even though I “got” it, even I was left feeling like the ending couldn’t be the end. There was no tie back to all the events. There wasn’t a “and now we’re here” moment to close it out. If the author found some comfort in this, that’s what really matters, but if she wants other ppl to understand, a rewrite would go a long way. Or the family could engage someone to help get to the bottom of how her sister died.

I came across this on a long vacation drive and listened to every episode. Amazing life stories and it’s so easy to listen to and stay focused on. Can’t wait for more!
