“I had loved that Lori was all about being God centered in her podcast. I have been listening to the show for quite some time now, with my only issue being the recent episode on circumcision. I would argue that God literally invented circumcision with Abraham as it was important at the time. I do not like the tone in her episode that portrays mothers being horrible for allowing their sons to be circumcised. Do you think Abraham was an awful father for doing so to Isaac? What about Sarah? Was she a bad mom for allowing her son to be circumcised? You must think so, because in our world now we at least have the medical components to try to make it painless and have medicine to treat pain as well as infection, while in Abraham’s time there was none of that. I think it’s a very personal decision that should be weighed based on the parent, but here’s another interesting fact, Yougov did a poll, and about 86% of men reported to be happy to have been circumcised while only 10% reported the opposite, and that is with only 62% of adult, American men reporting. I would not say the episode itself is bad, I would say the thing that was not so smart was trying to make a mom look bad for a very personal decision.”
