For information geeks
I admit. I totally over-did it for the collete applicaitons with my son. I was like a kid in a toy store, applying to too many places with him. Thankfully, he got into all of his schools and we didn't aim too high or unrealistic. That said, Anika and Mark walk you through the process and bring you information you never even think of. I didn't have any idea of what ED was, I had NO idea about the 'markeing' of accpetance rates, institutional priorities importance, and so many ohter valuable lessons. I have to go back and listen to what I missed. Mark is so smart with what he knows. I love Anika because she speaks well for moms. She asks questions that I am thinking and she keeps it child focused, rather than getting lost and swollowed in the big world of collete admissions, tuition, choices.... This podcast is my go to every weekday morning on my 30 minute drive. I am guilty of playing the podcast as I walk up the 72 stairs of work so I can continue listening before I am facing my work in the office. I completely appeciate what they bring and wish I could get more parents to listen. I have referred them to others and continue to talk about "well, on my college podcast they said....ABC" Thank you Mark and Anika! You have given me hope and knowledge with your podcasts.Read full review »

I began listening when my oldest kid was a rising junior, and I’m glad to have started relatively early so there’s less of a rush later. The hosts and their topics are spot-on with what parents need to hear, and they don’t make you feel bad if you have less-than-stellar grades/scores or lesser...Read full review »
