I have been listening to YKNR for years, first as a Teacher Librarian, then classroom teacher and now mum/teacher. Allison and Megan bring so much book knowledge, fun, creativity and warmth to their podcast. Love the book mail, recommendations, interviews and the quality waffle. As a YA librarian I find there is always something of interest in every episode and especially like the reviews of new books, for my own reading list as well as for my students. Never miss an episode and highly recommend.

(Although I do looooove the recommendations and every episode sees me eating into my library budget a little (a lot??) more!) After 3 years of maternity leave from my teacher librarian position, I was a bit late jumping on the YKNR band wagon. In fact, I had actually never listened to any podcasts before YKNR 😮 So when I returned to work this year, I started at episode 1 and listened almost every time I was driving to...Read full review »

Fabulous podcast for kidlit lovers. The quality waffle feels like friends have come over for cuppa, which is breath of fresh air in my solitary working-from-home-writing day (with the added bonus of being time limited and not having to kick them out if they’re overstaying 😂) And I ESPECIALLY love...Read full review »

I downloaded one episode, how to start your book club, but found it took a long time for the hosts to get to the topic. The first 5 min of the podcast is their chit chat on one of the hosts’ plan to do a family road trip. Not relevant.
