In this discussion, we will explore why Moses and Elijah both said to the Creator, "Why have you brought evil?" The Zohar is teaching that it’s up to us - our actions. If we’re on the side of the “right” - then union will happen, Hashem will protect us and blessings will flow. If we’re on the side of the “left”, we are exposed to the judgement of the evil side and aren’t protected. We see here the connection to yesterday’s lesson that when there’s a union that is triggered through positive, holy actions, then the union is done in secrecy, and that hiddenness allows for blessings to come forth.
