In this week’s Zohar, there are many fascinating sections about how to read a person’s face, eyes, lips, and hands, as well as teachings about astrology and prophecy.
At first, that seems strange since this week’s portion is a detailed description of the Mount Sinai revelation where the Jewish people receive the Torah from Hashem himself. So you would think this week would be an extended discussion about the mitzvot, which for sure there are teachings, but why mention astrology and face...

Every force has its counterforce. Everything has a mirror image created in God's world. Middah keneged middah- measure for measure.
In today's lesson, we see a continuation of the theme of the right and the left - chesed and gevurah. Hashem created both and gave us free will to choose which side we want to draw from.

In this discussion, we will explore why Moses and Elijah both said to the Creator, "Why have you brought evil?"
The Zohar is teaching that it’s up to us - our actions. If we’re on the side of the “right” - then union will happen, Hashem will protect us and blessings will flow. If we’re on the side of the “left”, we are exposed to the judgement of the evil side and aren’t protected.
We see here the connection to yesterday’s lesson that when there’s a union that is triggered through positive,...

Yosef was a mirror for the supernal Yesod, which is the sefirah that receives blessings from the upper world and channels them down to malchut, which is the physical world. A tzaddik is one who isn’t concerned with his own needs but is a channel to provide for the needs of others and whatever he receives he uses for the sake of giving to others.
How can we transform our need to receive for the sake alone to receiving for the sake of sharing and being channels for blessings in this world just...
