“I'm not trying to insult but inform the author. Take this as a draft. Now do your research. How do people earn PhDs? (not doctorates?) What's the language of physiology research and how do grad students talk to each other about their work? Would it be at all possible for one to keep any part of his work secret? Where's their advisor in this and the funding agency (NIH? CDC?) when it all goes south? I hope no one believes cops, who get away with too much, would get away with blustering about violence toward grad students. (I just talked myself into believing that)
Learning language about the technology is key- it took me awhile to understand he was referring to using a spectrophotometer, for example. It sure sounded like the author thought these guys were working on their PhDs at a community college- that's a bit odd.
