Zoo
Great cryptid story
I love cryptids. There aren't nearly enough stories that focus on them, so I was thrilled to find Zoo. I will admit, the acting and editing can be a bit wonky at times, but the writing more than makes up for that, and considering the size of the team making the show, the production quality is great overall. My only minor quibble with the show is that the first few episodes were more of a horror-tinged look at FBI cold cases. Which I loved. Then the show soon transitioned into a more, quirky (for lack of a better word) NIghtvale-esque supernatural comedy. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as I appreciate both types of stories, but I was just wasn't expecting it. Anyway, despite the minor drawbacks, I love Zoo. If you're into spooky, monster-focus stories, definitely check this one out!Read full review »
