Far left super woke delusional garbage

A hit piece on Musk that is politically motivated. Listened to the first one and lost interest. It’s weak and who cares if the world’s richest man has private detectives.

Wow. I believe in hearing contrarian views, but this is just an outright hit-job - on the man’s character. Avoid.

Why have i spent hours of my life listening to your efforts to humiliate a man whose ego was wrestling his decency. Whether he deserves it or not i have no idea but it feels like you’ve taken advantage of someone while they were down. You haven’t invested corporate espionage or asbestos, and you...Read full review »

I listened to Walter’s war-it began very catchingly and described very well the annoying level of security breaches between AI startups and US military, but I was much more interested in the human aspect of this confidence trickster. Who he really is and how he could get away with his lies in his...Read full review »

To the season 4 host - you did so much virtue signaling to avoid acknowledgment of your transphobia in this season, but it was still very obvious and harmful. You treated the transphobic sources with kindness and compassion, but you were critical and deliberately lacking in understanding with...Read full review »

Love everything from Tortoise.

This show is amazing. I’ve listened to all the seasons and I crave more. BBC level quality investigative journalism. Only 3.8 stars rating, what’s up with that!?

Very thorough, great interviews, and overall a very good job of WHY some of the texts seemed to the perpetrator seemed different than those to their friends and their experiences. As a woman, I’ve been through this— the biggest concern after a sexual assault or a coercive encounter where there...Read full review »

Wooooowwwww this most recent season is so good. A very balanced examination of patterns of behavior from Neil Gaiman. I was SEATED the entire season. I think the exploration of consent in these episodes is such a crucial conversation, especially when age and power/influence are taken into...Read full review »

Season 13 is a terrible piece of journalism, in my opinion. The only valid piece if information is that Neil Gaiman is a slimy old rich guy. Other than that, what’s the story?!?! Women of age had unpleasant sexual experiences with him. Welcome to the real world! Some experiences will be (highly)...Read full review »

Yet another thoughtful, sensitive, and thorough investigation by Tortoise — who are quickly becoming my favourite podcasting co. Truly eye-opening stuff on a very pressing matter that is shaping our world without many of us even realising it.

So interesting. Well researched. Don’t like the Amber series. It’s been so covered and really, who cares about these two people and their peccadillos. They’re both obnoxious. Didn’t finish amber. Tedious. Will listen to other in this

Very interesting story and well read but episodes felt to “current affair-ish” and repetitive. Although repetitive, I would still lose track of who was being interviewed because there was no clear direction to where the story came from or was going, it was all over the place.

I enjoy these stories and they are generally presented well. However, as a licensed psychotherapist it is sad to me that there are several highly regarded professional bodies that are completely disregarded here. Only the BACP is being represented (and advertised!?) which is very shortsighted....Read full review »

I really like the storytelling. Very compelling. That’s why it doesn’t need that amount of music. At some point I got an headache from it, especially because its the same piece of music again and again. Way too repetitive and sooo dramatic. If you want to use soooo much music maybe use at least...Read full review »

Utterly spellbinding journalism by Tortoise. I felt like I was being transported into the London I grew up in. But for these girls, life took a different turn. As a podcast true crime advocate since day one. I’ve just latched onto this one. Initial impressions are good, I’m always dubious when there is more than one presenter. I remember that stupid book Jonathan Seagull in college when we studied it. I always thought it was a childish and very odd book. Great podcast. Those poor girls and their parents. To get between a mother and her daughter is pure evil

The show was good. Giving one star for putting the final episode behind a paywall, which is unbelievably manipulative. I am disgusted.

I am enjoying the storytelling, pace and the subject matter, but finding it rather hard to feel too much sympathy for upper class women with dubious nicknames who could afford therapy in their early 20s.

Gripping and compelling, the team has produced another well researched and presented series. Not sure about the odd nature of the other reviews here that seem to blame some of those affected…..

Just finished “Pig Iron,” reported by Basia Cummings. I have been jumping around the seasons and this was the 3rd, and by far the favorite season, so far. What a heartbreaking and fascinating story. Phenomenal podcast. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the tortoise podcasts, in particular the Gas Man and Sweet Bobby. But it must be so frustrating finding all this information and not always seeing justice play out!

Why did you only start to ask questions in the last episode? Only depicted from the ‘victim’s’ pov. She was complicit. This is lazy one sided journalism lacking in empathy and understanding.
