“Really excellant. I lived through the Nixon era (although I was not in America at the time) and yet I learned a lot from this. I very much enjoyed the way that this was put together. Getting music levels right under voice, is an incredibly tricky thing, and everyone has their own level of tolerance. Mine happens to be very low, and yet I didn't find the music too intrusive. I could use a tiny bit less, but that's my own personal tolerance speaking. I didn't find that it took away from the piece. The historical recordings and their placement was great. Dan Carlin was good (but this we already know, if he'd been bad , that would have been a surprise. ) Great production. Looking forward to the rest of the series.”Read full review »

“The opening episode on Richard Nixon is superbly crafted and very educational. I was interested in the genius and enormous flaws of the man and the way the story is told brings this to life. Looking forward to hearing more from Mike Duncan on the second episode.”
