Great content. Thank you

Completely biased toward the producer’s worldview and value system. To the point where it’s just not accurate history. That halfway through the segment on Ronald Reagan end just couldn’t listen any longer.

Yikes, the last episode started with 4.5 minutes of promotions. I want podcasters to make money, and I understand that these generic ads make less money then the targeted ones, so now we need more ads, but still this podcast goes way to far!

I really enjoy this podcast. The subjects are interesting and the host speaks well with a nice pace. I’ve listened to all the episodes and find myself repeating them!

I’ve followed the show for a couple of years now and continue to feel amazed by the depth of its content. Most of all, the presentation of the information is portrayed in a unique way, combining facts, historial context, analysis, and archival material of key speeches - that makes it very...Read full review »

Love the content and guests, but holy moly the „background“ music ruins this. Way too loud.

This would be truth in advertising for your subtitle; The False Flag narrative that you were taught & regurgitate is less appealing that Hard Truth base on Fact.

This podcast has great information. It’s just exceedingly boring. It has such potential but needs a lot of work.

I assume they did this on purpose because the guest host I'm listening to (Dan Carlin) has ridiculously high standards of recording and engineering, yet on this podcast it sounds like it's recorded inside a beer can. Again, excellent content but this recording style makes it all but...Read full review »

take a scroll down - notice how every review pre 2016 (wink wink) fails to mention “trashing of the right” or “partisanship” i sincerely don’t understand. none of the presidents covered have an ilk near alignment of any modern political party in the united states. please stop trying to overlay...Read full review »

This was a very informative podcast with the one and only Dan Carlin mixed in with great background clips and theatrical music. Well done. As a long time listener of Hardcore History, I found this podcast refreshing.
ooDroPoo via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/11/22
Tried listening to the Carlin/Nixon episode, but the music was at volume 10 along with voice at volume 10. The result was literally unlistenable. Good content, but had to turn it off after 20 minutes (and that was torture). Sorry guys.

Great hosts with a variety of styles makes this podcast both fun and unique to me. Great job man, keep up the good work!

Overall I love this podcast and it’s deep dive into the history through the lens of each of these presidents. My only criticism is that the podcasts are not organized in a simple way that helps me find the right chronological view. It would be helpful if I could go through the podcasts as the...Read full review »

Interesting stuff but that background music is very ill conceived. Takes away from the content. Bad idea
Montana Nate via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/18/21
Overall I really enjoy this content, however, the continuous and intrusive soundtrack sort of ruins the experience. In most cases the narrator is competing with the soundtrack volume. Sadly once the bizarre soundtrack gets in your ear, you can’t get it out. What a colossal disappointment!
pjoe$$ via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/15/21
Great content. But had to give up listening because of the awful loud background music. Impossible to hear the narrator if in a car for example.
micfur via Apple Podcasts · Ireland · 04/19/21
Well researched, well told, but the looping tacky production music is absolutely excruciating.

Episodes can vary quite different from one another. So just because you loved 1 does not mean you will like another. But the variety and different experiences and stories is actually what made me a big fan. From the different historians telling tales to the crossover with Twilight Histories....Read full review »

I’m retired, and this podcast is a waste of my time. If I want to listen to the 200,000th podcast host who thinks he is going to be original by trashing the right, I’ll tune in. As it happens I do not want to listen to a partisan podcast so I’m taking my ears elsewhere. If you want a neutral,...Read full review »

Very late to the party on this one but my god it is good! Nixon episode was utterly brilliant and really enjoyed Washington too, now onto the rest! I’m so happy that’s it’s gone past 10 and hope in time you’ll cover all of them.

The actual podcasts that address the supposed subject matter have interesting content with an annoying background music added for some reason. A bunch of unrelated podcasts that you should skip. Posting time with new content is horrible and content is uneven with for example two podcasts on...Read full review »

A brilliant podcast with top tier guest presenters including Dan Carlin, Mike Duncan and a host of political history experts. Masterfully produced by Roifield Brown. It is hard to choose a favourite episode- Washington, Nixon, Jackson, Reagan... all fascinating!

If you enjoyed the Washington Post’s Presidential podcast series in 2016, give this one a go. Instead of looking at the lives of the presidents in isolation and out of context, this series gives you a real sense of the place and space in American history when the presidents were in power. If the...Read full review »

What a great podcast, well made and researched. I love that you have people like Dan Carlin who is a rockstar in his own right. Can’t wait for the Reagan Part 2 episode hopefully coming out soon!

While listening to the broadcast on Nixon, I am shocked by the total lack of inclusion of Nixon’s dirty tricks employed throughout his political career. He was playing dirty politics long before the Watergate scandal. To praise him without including a more complete coverage of his desire to win...Read full review »

This started out great with some of the greatest history podcasters. But got to Episode 3 and even Mike Duncan of History of Rome and Revolutions fame couldn’t overcome the cheesy background music. Apparently more than a few people don’t care for the audio mixing and background music on this podcast. I couldn’t careless about it. This podcast is interesting and informative, summarizing the lives of American Presidents. The style is entertaining and very tightly edited. You will find no long-winded stream of consciousness blather here. The narrators are well spoken and knowledgeable.

Very well done, and I’m learning a lot, but the music is unnecessary, and is often syrupy and melodramatic.

This podcast is a compulsive listen in the telling of the whole story of the lives behind some of the most notoriously famous people in history. It is especially well done between actors and narrators bringing the story to life in ones mind. Brilliant!
