“If you enjoyed the Washington Post’s Presidential podcast series in 2016, give this one a go. Instead of looking at the lives of the presidents in isolation and out of context, this series gives you a real sense of the place and space in American history when the presidents were in power. If the WaPo series was a quippy weekly column, this podcast is a long form meticulously researched Atlantic article. The period music is fantastic, the bits of speeches and broadcasts add depth and color, the research is excellent, and the audio quality/editing is great. Awesome podcast.
PS If you happen to be studying for the AP US History exam... this might just be your ticket to a 5.”
