Now And Then - One Year On. Hard to believe that fact but it's here. Joining Andy and Tom (as he did a year ago upon release) again is Mitch Axelrod for Episode 265. Mitch is the author of Beatletoons, Co-Host of the "Fab 4 Free 4 All" Podcast and excellent FB group. Mitch also helped produce a video on the popular channel Parlogram about the Beatles US cartoons. As Mitch wrote the book - it was an excellent choice. Congrats! Link is below. We tackled A LOT in this episode. How does Mitch...

Welcome To November 2Legs Listeners! For our first new show of the month we revisit a series we did a few weeks back called "Divided Albums." This time we chose that oft-neglected and overlooked Spring 1976 LP Wings at The Speed of Sound. This album routinely ranks pretty low in the Macca/Wings canon by most fans/critics because of its paint by numbers democratic approach. Despite having two huge hit singles in 'Silly Love Songs' (US #1) and 'Let 'Em In' (US #3). Which makes the album kind of...

40 Years Ago - This film premiered. Lotta discussions since then. Pro and Con. A mistake or not. Either way - This week on 2Legs Andy and Tom are joined by Give My Regards To Broad Street expert - Mr. Ed Crawford for a 40th Anniversary Re-Watch with commentary. Musical scenes are the highlights of course. Light on plot, sure. But it's Paul! And we love it! We hope you enjoy our conversation throughout the film. MPL - Call us! We'll assemble the Archive Set for FREE! Still hate it? Love it?...

At long last we finally got around to recording this one! Author and Music Journalist Mr. Eoghan Lyng (Culture Sonar/Stripped), U2 On Track, George Harrison In The 1970s, joins Andy and Tom for Episode 261. In Part III of the Paul and George relationship we examine their mainly George's icy comments directed at Paul between the years 1982 and 1988. A lot happened during this interval of time. Hi! This week Andy and Tom are very pleased to have Super Fan "Dino V" join us for a chat about the November 2001 release of Driving Rain. It's an album that gets a lot of chat on McCartney fan pages/sites - mostly negative. We contextualise the time period from whence it came. Discuss reasons why it gets the bad rap it has received 23 years on since it's release. 'Freedom', 9/11, The Heather factor. Too long of a record. All these points and more are discussed! It was an album that we...

A topic much discussed on our show, but we've never done a proper Top 20 Countdown of Macca's B-Sides. Partly in reply to our wonderful friend Beatley Tone who did a fabulous ranking of his own. Tom and David did one back in the pre-Andy era but for E258 Andy and Tom revisit our favourite 20 Macca B-Sides. Some of them are so damn good they should be A Sides! We obviously agree on a good chunk but differ on a few too! All Paul. All The Time. Peace, Andy & Tom

We as Macca fans are really in the golden age of books being published that just focus solely on the man's solo career. We waited decades for it but over the last 10 + years we have been spoiled. (Perasi, Kozinn/Sinclair, Blaney, Montgomery, Benitez, Allan) etc. Joining us for E257 is Ian Derbyshire. He is the author of the new book Macca In The Long Noughties: Paul McCartney tracks, life and tours 1998-2009. Ian tells Andy and Tom what inspired him to focus on this specific period and why...

Finally! The McCartney guys add their 2 cents on a Lennon album. Yes, we've done this occasionally but fear not Paul is mentioned a few times in this episode. Andy and Tom recorded this shortly after the Chicago Fest. We are a bit late to the "Mind Games" hype reviews but we hope you enjoy our take. Andy discusses the Cube, Tom discusses aspects of the Blu-Ray discs and the "Mind Games" associated with the entire set. Now that the dust is settling on this release - how do you feel it stacks...

Hello All! Hope you're keeping cool as we breeze thru July 2024! A topic tackled 'Once Upon A Long Ago' in the pre-Andy era but this week we revisit the topic of songs Macca composed specifically for Films throughout his career. Beginning in 1967 with The Family Way, we examine the songs written, the films for them, and in some cases why the Director scrapped them. (Tsk Tsk!) Some work well; some not as much is our overall take. What say you? Favourite Macca Film song?

We return with the "Iconic Song Series" for E253! Hello All! We're back with a traditional episode this week. This time diving back into the Interview Archives (as we've done in the past) with Paul (& Linda's) appearance from November 1987 on the UK BBC1 Programme Wogan, hosted by Terry Wogan. We've re-edited in the performances of 'Jet', 'Once Upon A Long Ago' and 'Listen To What The Man Said' as the interview on YouTube had these cut. Paul had made appearances on Wogan in the past, (1986) and made future appearances in 1989 and 1990....
