“This is an excellent podcast, Dr Karl is a level headed down to earth, common sense compasionate humanistic and enthusiastic positive guy who sets a great example as a teacher. He has a wide science knowlede base but is not afraid to admit he does not know everything that is asked of him, however if not able to, he will look into it or suggest a way to find out (his favourite seems to be Wikipedia as a starting point). Dr Rod is a good mediator of the incoming emails and phone in queries. Only downside is there are a small minority of callers who phone in and just don't listen to Dr Karl and want to get on their soap box about topics that have previously been covered many times before - the speed of light conumdrums for example. This aside it's a great podcast. Yes he does sound exactly like Joe Mangle on that Australian soap, so what? Dr Karl is extremely entertaining and informative and deserves a wide audience. you can also hear him on tripple J radio podcast from Australia just put JJJ in your browser and get 2 Dr Karls for the price of one !”Read full review »
