Letterboxd is the real star of the show here and the fellas do a great job of letting it shine. I love the wide variety of films discussed and the passion and chemistry that Slim, Danny and Proto all have make episodes very entertaining to listen to.

I’ve only been listening for a week but the bundle of episodes I’ve listened to combined with the amazing community these guys have cultivated has made this my new favorite film podcast. Their chemistry is so good, it feels like you’re hanging out with your friends and talking about movies. It’s...Read full review »

The last year has been incredibly difficult for me, as I know it has been for many others. Around Christmas time last year, I started listening to this show, and I was genuinely laughing and happy the moment I hit play. It was exactly what I needed. I found an amazing community of film lovers...Read full review »

This would be a fun show, but I cannot stomach Slim’s arrogance. His demeanor grates on me. It’ll be fine for a while, but then he’ll throw out something that sours the experience. Dude’s a jerk. I had to stop listening. Just not worth it. It’s a shame, because the other hosts are good.

Hooked! These guys are worth a listen for the banter alone. Like listening to your funniest friends at the bar discussing your favorite films! They dive deep into the small moments that make movies great and aren’t afraid to be opinionated! So much fun, a joy to listen to!

Seriously, I look forward to Monday’s so much thanks to this show. It feels like hanging out with friends, talking about the movies we love and hate. There is so much chemistry between these three friends, and so much joy about movies. It was my favourite find of 2020.

You’ll laugh from bodily crevices you didn’t know existed. This is real chemistry right here. Gives ya something to chew on when watching the films they review. Thoughtful, down to earth, gritty and real, like mom’s lasagna.

An perfect podcast for these times. A place to laugh and chat with your old pals. The guys cover films but more importantly they have created a forum and space for all the 70mm community, known lovingly as the Villagers.

Finally, a movie podcast! Hosted by men! And they love Portrait of a Lady on Fire in a way that I love Portrait of a Lady on Fire! And they talk a lot about Letterboxd. You know what’s super nice? Listening to a podcast about movies, hosted by men who are inclusive, caring, cool, and creative. Men oftentimes act like I don’t know anything about movies because of my gender—and you find NONE OF THAT here. Slim, Proto, and Danny are straight awesome and make...Read full review »

Even though every review isn’t a 5-banger, this show is 5 stars every time, every week. Even if you can’t catch the main film from each episode, it’s worth a listen to hear the thoughts Danny, Slim, and Proto bring to the table.

A problem that plagues a lot of movie podcasts is the feeling that everyone involved is kind of a dick. 70mm stands out from the crowd because it feels like hanging out with your friends and talking about movies, rather than getting the chance to listen in on a discussion between film critics....Read full review »

Because the chemistry between these 3 is on fire. I’ve always felt like an outsider at a party when friends discuss movies I have never heard or seen. The most important thing for me with any podcast is the chemistry of the hosts. And this one has it in bucket loads. I love this podcast guys, keep up the good work. I was wondering if you could cover Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof, which was released in 2007.
