“Usually, I only write positive reviews, bc if I don’t like a podcast, I simply don’t listen or subscribe to it. I also listen to a variety of movie enthusiast podcasts, and this is the first one I’ve come across that annoyed the f** out of me. I tried listening to 4 different episodes about cult classics I enjoyed. It’s really rare to find a podcast where a cult classic is covered, but none of the hosts are of an age where they grew up with it, or they’re young, but “get it”/appreciate it. I understand that everyone has different tastes, but maybe include one or two hosts who don’t all share the same opinion and know more about a cult classic than what they find on IMDB. Or don’t cover cult classics. It’s like listening to snobby hipster self-styled “nerds” (but not actual nerds who know everything about the selected movie and nerd out sharing all their fun knowledge and appreciation of the film.) Its the audial equivalent of watching a YouTube video of a teenager seeing a Walkman for the first time and talking about how lame it is.”
