Kevin Penrose is probably better known online as the Wild Irish Wanderer. A few years ago he decided to take his love for travel and hiking to a new level, a move that has changed his life and career- though he never expected it would reach so many people. But there is much more to Kevin's story than we know. Kevin has carried a heavy weight on his shoulders all of his life. A much harder challenge to face than any mountain he ever climbed. Kevin was afraid to admit he was gay. He was worried he would be met with ridicule, and feared the stigma of being a gay man in Ireland would result in  loss his team mates in GAA, and much more.
