Heart breaking and very interesting history of coffee. It was a absolute eye opener to me and an invitation to consume coffee in a new, better way!

A very interesting and intelligent History-based show, connecting the dots of History, Coffee, Revolutions, Conquests, Human Suffering…, I don’t know what else, yet. Not for the coffee afficionato with a weak stomach, for the ghastly background of coffee’s history, and colonialism. I almost gave...Read full review »

Thank you for describing the history of coffee. It is not a pretty story, but we should hear it. And you weaves in to this history the politics and economics. I hope you have many seasons!

Once you filter out all the left wing, woke, anti-capitalist nonsense that the producers felt the need to include, there’s a fascinating history behind to be learnt about coffee. The book’s author, on which the podcast is based, is captivating. His cohost, however, is a nauseating Guardianista type.

I have enjoyed the second episode. I have learnt more about coffee and where it comes from. The speaker was very good and the anecdotes were very interesting and thought-provoking. The podcast will hopefully have a positive impact on our conscience and coffee consumption.

Thanks a lot for covering the history of how coffee started of, to how it’s gotten here (across the world). Would be great if you could interview a few planters&processors from coffee estates in India - like South India Coffee company & BeanRove.
