In this episode, I share with you on the heels of an interview on ADHD and minerals for the HerBrain summit. There are some pretty cool connections I’ve observed in my own life and work with clients via HTMA. Though I myself was never diagnosed with ADHD I had a lot of the symptoms, which were connected to some hefty systemic imbalances that once I got those under control my hyperkinetic symptoms dissipated.
One of the talking points that Christine mentioned to me prior to our interview was about how zinc deficiency may be common in ADHD, and research has shown a 30% decrease in medication dosage when adding zinc supplementation.
Since she is also a practitioner (who took my practitioner program and works with HTMA) she mentioned assessing zinc + and the zinc/copper ratio -because in the mineral world we know that we need to consider BALANCE always since no single mineral works alone.
We didn’t get to dig in much in our interview, so I thought I’d share briefly in this episode as well as refer back to some past episodes I’ve done for you that are connected so you can get a deeper picture.
ADHD is not a single 'disease' or condition. This is a catch-all label for a set of symptoms which includes poor attention span, unresponsiveness, distractibility and other criteria that may have many causes.
