a little bit obsessed 🙏
So far, so hooked - and it's only day one! I’ll start by saying 1) I’m an avid podcast listener & 2) this is one of the only moments I’ve felt compelled to write a review. I first discovered Sarah after listening to the CBC podcast, Uncover: Escaping NXIVM - and I binged it in one day. While the story itself is heartbreaking, I found her way of storytelling so relatable and compelling. And, after watching The Vow, I'm glad we get to hear from both her and Nippy together on this podcast. Having been a devotee to new age, personal development in my 20s, I've definitely had a few "culty" experiences that have made me extremely wary of it all. My reaction has been to disengage completely, but in doing so I lost a lot of the good that came from meaningful self-exploration. That being said, I appreciate the way they've framed this whole podcast - discussing cults, warning signs and things to look out for, but also sharing the insights that were positive and helpful. Nippy and Sarah are grounded hosts navigating some tricky (and, for some, triggering) subject matter in a thoughtful, humorous way. Can’t wait to hear more! 🎧Read full review »

These aren’t...Read full review »

After watching The Vow and other documentaries it’s great to get to know Nippy’s personality and the various aspects of the subject matter.

So well done from the format to the music and most importantly Sarah and Nippy’s honest, thoughtful, compassionate, and just-the-right-amount-of-humor perspective. The world needs more open discussion of these issues and these guys are perfect to do it. Can’t wait for more. Xoxo
