Love it!
I have been a fan of Troy Taylor's since my mom frequented his book shop and conferences in Alton when I was a tiny human. He is an amazing story teller, as well as historian. I could listen to him read the dictionary. So I knew I would love this podcast. But what I really love is the dynamic of Troy's knowledge and research and Cody's experience growing up with the lore of the area. Being around Cody's age, and from (relatively) the same area, I have heard all of these stories and legends as well, and always wondered about the back story. I am loving this podcast! I love hearing the history behind all of these stories. They don't exaggerate to try to make things scarier, it's so much better to hear authentic stories.

I don’t believe in ghosts, but I love the history behind hauntings. I just finished the Lemp story and I am sad to see it end. I’ve read Troy Taylor’s books for as long as I can remember!!! I love hearing the stories featured in his books and beyond!!! Really hoping that you guys cover some Decatur hauntings too!!!
